Deliberation is complex
I've been reflecting on how the eclectic topics of this past Masters degree term of learning fit together. I've come up with this table:
| complex | <<==>> | linear |
| uncertain | <<==>> | determined |
| relative | <<==>> | absolute |
| share | <<==>> | own |
| collaborate | <<==>> | manage |
| means | <<==>> | ends |
| deliberate | <<==>> | debate |
I contend that individual approaches tend to be clustered by column. If these columns represent the endpoints of ontological conceptual variation, will it always be a challenge for deliberative dialogue to be recognised as a valued decision-making method by those who tend to think in terms of the other side?
