Dorothy Dixer 2.0
Microsoft Australia's trial Ask a Pollie site is "designed to stimulate debate about topical issues, and to give you a channel through which you can interact with politicians from various parties." But it is more about rhetoric than learning. It reinforces the conservative view that while citizens may ask, power stays with authority. It's just another platform for political partisans to grandstand. As attractive as it looks, I don't expect anything more than Dorothy Dixers.
