eLearning by scenario
I tried for years to get the design houses and corporations I worked for to design elearning that targets behaviour rather than just memory, and in particular to take a scenario approach. Too often, I was unsuccessful, forced instead to build attractive but useless page turning schlock. That's the main reason I left the industry.
Cathy Moore has a great presentation that indicates how to do it right. In it she goes a small way towards putting us into instructional design scenarios too. I hope she is influential.
