Summer starts now

Today is Gillian's last day in Grade 1. At 1:30pm she will escape the clutches of institutionalised education for the Australian summer break.

Until February, I have her and her younger sister Allison at home to entertain. I'm looking forward to that. But it means I'll be spending much less time at the computer. It's probably good to step away from my RSS reader which has taken over my life! The exception is the week following Christmas when my wife will take the kids to their grandmother's house up the coast, and I'll work on my PhD thesis in peace.

This is all to say that I won't be posting much in the next while. Have a happy and safe holiday!
