Messing up my research life —
As if I don’t have enough of a challenge in my research.
I have a project box where I keep original copies of all my materials for my PhD research. It’s open, and it’s on the floor next to my desk so I can get at stuff quickly. This includes surveys completed by research participants, that I’m responsible to look after for the rest of the research team.
A relative stayed at our house and slept on the spare bed next to my desk. Our guest drank too much and then spewed onto the box. I’ve salvaged most, but it’s not pretty.
This is a public apology to the rest of my team….
