Living with prostate cancer

Just in time for Christmas, I’ve completed the last of 39 daily radiation treatments. Luckily I live nearby the radiology centre, so it hasn’t been too much of an interruption to my day. Perhaps more fortunately, I haven’t suffered any physical difficulties aside from some internal tenderness and fatigue. But the effect (and benefit) is cumulative, so it will take a few weeks before I’m on the way towards healing again. In the meantime I’ll just take it easy with good sleep and moderate exercise. In about six weeks I’ll get a PSA test that will indicate whether this treatment and the surgery I had earlier have arrested the primary cancer.

Best wishes to all for a happy, and certainly healthy holiday!
